On May 11, 2021, Kun Kyong Charitable Trust of His Holiness the 17^th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje donated 100 units of 5L Oxygen Cylinders and 10 Units of 10L Oxygen Cylinders to Hemkunt Foundation at their Oxygen Centre, Gurugram, Haryana, INDIA. These Oxygen Cylinders will be provided to people affected with Covid and those having breathing issues. Hemkunt Foundation assists around 500 patients at the Centre, which is open 24*7.

Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh, HR Director of Hemkunt Foundation received the cylinders and thanked Kun Kyong Charitable Trust for the help. He said, “These 5L cylinders come very handy during the transfer of patients between home, centre and the hospitals. These cylinders are portable and are in big demand.”

Hemkunt Foundation volunteers shared that a 5L Oxygen Cylinder can support a person with >80% O2 level for about 4+ hours and can support a person with >50% O2 level for about an hour.

Hemkunt Foundation has also set up a refilling station for Oxygen Cylinders, where relatives of people affected with Covid come to refill their Oxygen Cylinders.
