Kun Kyong Charitable Trust Extends Support to Frontline Warriors in Sikkim
Gangtok, May 19, 2021: Kun Kyong Charitable Trust of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje presented medical consumables and medicines for the Frontline CoVid Warriors and the people of Sikkim who have been affected by Corona virus.
Delegation of Kun Kyong Charitable Trust led by Karma Gelay Chungyalpa, Managing Trustee met the Honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang Golay and other Honourable Ministers of his government at Mintokgang, Gangtok.
On his official Facebook page, the Honourable Chief Minister wrote, “On behalf of HH the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, Managing Trustee of Kung Kong Charitable Trust, Rumtek Monastery, Shri Karma Gelay Chungyalpa presented essential items and equipment for Frontline Covid Warriors and the patients at Mintokgang today.The items comprising of N95 mask, pulse oximeter, PPE set, sanitiser, gloves, surgical masks, medicines etc were handed over to the Central Medical Store under Health Department for optimal use.I expressed my gratitude to the 17th Karmapa for his concern and thanked the representatives who personally presented the items in the hour of the pandemic. I enquired about the health and wellbeing of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa and was informed that he has been keeping well and is continuously praying for peace and a healthy environment for Sikkim.”
